Things you need to know about an MOT test.

Every non-commercial car and vehicle is required by law to undergo an MOT text from the third anniversary of the date of first registration i.e., when it becomes three years old.

Unless you have made a Statutory Off Road Notification (SORN) for your vehicle even if your car is not being driven on a public road or highway it must have valid MOT, Insurance and Road Tax

A MoT test can be completed up to one month before the expiry of your MoT. This means you have plenty of time to arrange your MOT while still preserving the original renewal date

With the exception of minibuses all passenger vehicles are deemed as Class 4 for MOT purposes

An MOT test does not guarantee that your vehicle is perfect working order. During the MOT, important parts on your vehicle will be checked to make sure they meet the legal standards.

Lower Earley MOTs are approved by the Government appointed Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA, formerly VOSA) and all MOT tests are completed by MOT testers nominated by DVSA.
